Bookings for all our rides are taken online in advance; we don’t take any entries on the gate. All our fun rides cost £22 per horse. Places on each fun ride are limited and we may close entries early if we are full; if you have a preference for a particular set off time we advise you enter early to guarantee a spot. If you want to ride in a group with friends, please try to book together; it is often difficult to add extra people to a group if they enter afterwards, especially if the time slot requested is sold out.
The route will be a different one to Easter weekend’s ride, with large sections across fresh land. The ride will be approximately 8 miles* long with a short route option of approximately 5 miles*. The route will be nearly all off road with a water crossing and jumps for all abilities; every jump is totally optional. Walkers are allowed to accompany riders, but all dogs must be on a lead at all times. Please note these distances are provisional; we only finalise the route the day before the ride as we try to use where the ground conditions are best.
We assign everyone a set off time. This means there is a consistent trickle of horses through the day which aids everyone’s enjoyment and safety. When booking you are asked your time slot preferences which we then use to allocate set off times. For example, in the 11:00 – 11:30 time slot you could be given an 11:10 set off time. Set off times are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and each set off time has a limited capacity. Therefore if you would like to set off at the same time as your friends it would be helpful to enter all together as it can be difficult for us to slot extras in afterwards. We do our best to fulfil any requests though – please write them in the Notes box on your entry.
